"If you think that all great art is about making familiar the unfamiliar, then seeing a child’s eye view is nearly always making the familiar, very unfamiliar (for an adult). A WINNER will show us something we thought we knew, but by looking at THIS photograph by a child, we will find we didn’t. So it will be a discovery, a revelation.

It might be a flight of stairs, it might be an adult looked at from a child’s point of view.. who knows.. but it will be something where we are surprised. it will be something where we will go ‘Good Lord, is that what it looks like?!’

So we will be amazed, or stunned, or surprised…"
